Coin Careers (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds tools that connect talent with onchain teams. This policy explains what we collect when you browse, build a profile, or apply through the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Coin Careers you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what we gather automatically, and what we receive from connected services.
- Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash) when you create an account.
- Profile content — work history, skills, links, and anything you add to your Coin Careers profile or business card.
- Application data — the roles you save or apply to, plus any materials you share with employers through the platform.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches run, and actions taken, along with device, browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Connected services — limited details from wallets or accounts you choose to link, described in the wallet section below.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to run, secure, and improve Coin Careers — never to sell your personal data.
- Match you to relevant roles and surface teams that fit your profile.
- Power AI features such as shortlists, profile suggestions, and application tooling.
- Operate your account, process subscriptions, and provide support.
- Keep the platform safe by detecting fraud, spam, and abuse.
- Send service updates and, where you've opted in, product news you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Wallets & onchain data
Connecting a wallet is always optional. When you do, we read your public wallet address and any onchain credentials you choose to share so we can verify activity and enrich your profile.
We never request your seed phrase or private keys, and we cannot move funds on your behalf. Remember that public blockchains are, by design, permanent and visible to anyone — information you publish onchain is outside our control.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, security, or accounting obligations.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can update most details directly in your account settings, or reach us using the contact below to exercise any of these rights. We won't discriminate against you for doing so.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls scoped to the people and systems that need them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continually to safeguard your information and will notify you of incidents where required by law.
International transfers
Coin Careers operates globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect data when it crosses borders.
Children's privacy
Coin Careers is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes we'll revise the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in-app or by email. Continuing to use Coin Careers after an update means you accept the revised policy.
